WHAT IS THERAPY?
In essence it is a regular dialogue that helps a client or couple make sense of where they are today.
Sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes at a regular slot. I offer an initial free 30 minute online consultation to assess how we can work together.
Then the sessions can be held in person or online, depending on your preference.
They start at £80 per session for individuals, £100 for couples. If cancelled with less that 48 hours notice, the session will still be charged, although I will endeavour to find an alternative slot during the week when possible.
The initial sessions are likely to be very wide ranging and opportunity to put your own life in perspective. As Sigmund Freud said ‘nothing in therapy should be considered irrelevant or superficial.’
I create an atmosphere that allows such an honest exploration to take place, in a positive and nurturing environment. Confidentiality is also taken very seriously, and follows ethical guidelines.
HOW CAN IT HELP?
You might come to therapy if you are at a crossroads in your personal or working lives.
Equally it could be you are seeking help with anxiety, depression, bereavement, loneliness, low self-worth or a feeling your life isn’t quite on the right track. In some cases, there could be unresolved issues from childhood or relationships that broke down or in others, addictions and unhealthy behaviours in the present day.
Therapy can also simply be an opportunity to ‘tidy up’ the everyday noise in our brains.
